The powerful 4-PoE fanless embedded box computer has been verified with IntervalZero EtherCAT Master middleware KingStar which is based on EtherCAT Master Stack (e.g. Acontis) and IntervalZero real-time extension RTX. To provide better computing performance, it supports LGA1150 socket 4th generation Intel® Core™ or Celeron™ processor (Codename: Haswell/Haswell Refresh) with the Intel® Q87 Express chipset. The high-quality industrial-grade embedded system also comes with four-channel Gigabit PoE (power-over-Ethernet) ports, allowing multiple cabling to cameras and any PoE power device. With supports of IntervalZero RTX and multi-I/O connectivity, the Axiomtek eBOX671-885-FL-ECM is ideal for multi-camera imaging applications in industrial automation, medical, military, test & measurement industry, aerospace industry, and many more.
Following the EtherCAT standard, the eBOX671-885-FL-ECM supports IntervalZero Windows® real-time extension RTX with a separate real-time scheduler, transforming the general-purpose Windows® operating system into a fully functional real-time operating system (RTOS) that runs on multi-core hardware, delivering deterministic time control to allow Master controller and Slave device communicating with cycle time of 250 μs. To help integrating deterministic digital input/output (DIO) control in real-time motion control or robots, a RTX DIO driver is also available in the fanless embedded platform for monitoring sensors and controlling motion or something critical.

Concerning graphics performance, with the system memory maximum up to 8 GB, the high-performance embedded box PC can support triple independent displays, offering best quality imaging. For growing amount of storage need, the versatile vision system is equipped with dual 2.5” SATA HDD drive bays (RAID 0 & 1 supported), one CFast™, and two mSATA. Two PCI Express Mini Card slots and one SIM card slot allow system to access internet through 3G, Wi-Fi, GSM and LTE. The I/O interfaces includes one EtherCAT port, one Gigabit LAN port, four Gigabit PoE ports, four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485 ports), one digital I/O, six USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one audio, one DVI-I, one HDMI, one DisplayPort and three antenna openings.
