Axiomtek - a world-renowned leader relentlessly devoted in the research, development and manufacture of series of innovative and reliable industrial computer products of high efficiency – is pleased to introduce the CEM312, a new COM Express Type 6 Compact module which supports Intel® Atom® x5 and x7 processors (codename: Apollo Lake) in a board size of 95 x 95 mm. It has two 204-pin DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMMs with up to 8GB of system memory and an optional eMMC for a maximum of 64GB memory. The COM Express Type 6 module is integrated with Intel® Gen 9 graphics and supported with DX12.0, OCL 2.0 and OGL 4.3 for immersive graphics and media performance with a resolution up to 4K. The Intel® Atom®-based computer module also offers diverse comprehensive I/O interfaces to meet requirements for a variety of industrial applications. The CEM312 can serve as an excellent solution for graphics-intensive, industrial IoT applications such as industrial control, medical imaging, digital signage, gaming, military, and networking.
"The CEM312 is designed to offer rich, useful interfaces and great expandability that are purpose-built to support most application requirements. For evaluation and development purposes, Axiomtek provides the CEB94021, a COM Express® type 6 application board, to work with the CEM312 for flexible I/O expandability," said Seamus Su, a product manager of Product Planning Division at Axiomtek. "Moreover, the industrial grade system on module can operate under wide temperature ranging from -40 to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F), making it an ideal solution for use in rugged and harsh environments such as factory automation, railways, outdoor signage and kiosks."
The CEM312 supports triple displays with one dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS port (embedded DisplayPort for option) and two DDI ports supporting DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI (VGA for option). The COM Express Type 6 module provides multiple I/O options including two SATA-600 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, two serial TX/RX, one Gigabit LAN port with Intel® i210IT Ethernet controller, HD Codec audio and 4-IN/OUT DIO ports. It also supports a maximum of four PCIe slots, as well as one LPC bus, one SPI and one I2C expansion buses. The industrial embedded module supports 12V power in AT mode and 12V or 5VSB power in ATX mode. To ensure reliability and stability, hardware monitoring and Watchdog Timer are in place. This module supports Windows® 10 and Linux operating systems as well as Axiomtek's AXView – intelligent remote management software for smart device monitoring and remote management IoT applications. It also supports Trusted Platform Module 1.2 (TPM) for efficient hardware-based data protection.
